It is annoying to accidentally launch an app in your VMs while you are trying to launch the native version. Remove apps folder from spotlight search location.
- System Preferences/Spotlight/Privacy Click on the “+” button and choose the directory:
- /Users/”your home folder”/Applications
- exclude it from the spotlight search.
This happens way too often; after version updates or apps.
